Insanity!

I'm starting a 60 day workout program tomorrow called Insanity. It's going to be really hard.....but I think I can do it!

So far I've lost about 8 or 9 pounds on the slow carb diet I was doing. When I start Insanity tomorrow, I'm going to change my diet up...I'm going to add a few more carbs back into my diet...I will eat a little whole grain bread and fruit again, and not do a cheat day anymore. My goal is to have a really balanced and healthy diet, without unhealthy carbs and fatty fried stuff and all the crap that was literally the only thing I used to eat.

My goal is to lose 20 pounds by the end of the 60 days. I definitely think I can do it. I'll let you know how week 1 goes!

Gettin married, y'all...

Well, everyone who reads this already knows this, but I felt like if I was going to update, this would be blog-worthy news... Josh and I are engaged!!!!!!

I'm not going to act like it didn't cross my mind that he could propose on this trip, and that the beach in San Diego would be an ideal place for that happen...but the day's events were very normal/casual/whatever (zoo, reading, going to dinner with his brother and sister-in-law), so I didn't think it would happen that night. I had already had a conversation with myself about not getting my hopes up, it wasn't going to happen, etc. So when it happened, I was surprised!

I just found out that when we went to dinner that night with Jeremy and Heidi, they thought that Josh had already proposed and that they were taking us out as a post-engagement celebratory dinner...so when they met up with us, they were trying to look at my hand and figure out if it had already happened without asking us and thus, ruining the whole thing. :)

Anyway, I guess it's time to start planning this wedding...I mean, I guess... I'm enlisting all the help I can get...I will need it! This is not my forte, event planning and what not. Good thing I have the best friends in the world that will help me make decisions and make the whole experience a lot of fun. Right now, we are starting to look at venues and hoping that we can get a great venue in November! I'm going to do my absolute best to not let wedding planning stress me out. At the end of the day, I just want the wedding to be a fun time for us, and for all our friends and family. And mostly, I'm just excited I get to marry Josh!!! Yeyeyah!

Yep, I failed.

Wellll, I didn't make it these last 3 days on just a dollar. I could have. But I ended up totally giving in to the power of Chick-Fil-A for my lunch Saturday. After I did it, my thought was "Crap, I have to tell everyone (Kacy, Danielle, Jessica) on my blog about this"...

Then yesterday, I bought a cup of coffee for $2.00

My total was $28 for the week.

I'm curious how this compares to you guys and how you spend money on food & drinks. (I know I shouldn't compare to other people, blahblahblah). Because after this week, I'm thinking I am this crazy person who is obsessed with eating out and getting drinks. And this week I actually did better than how I usually do. (Are you judging me!?)

Also, I am taking Danielle's words of wisdom and looking for how I can cut back. I need to cut back on how much I drink, but when I do drink, I need to make it at home instead of spending $1 or $2 every time I'm thirsty...

Here are my goals for the future:
Make sweet tea at home if I want it.
Make coffee at home instead of going out.
I really want to quit drinking sodas, but I'm just so afraid I won't be able to do it! ehhhhhh
Drink more water.
I want to have a budget of like no more than $5 a week on just drinks.

What do we think?

Day 5

I had 32 ounces of water, 12 ounces of Sprite, and 20 ounces of sweet tea yesterday. I had a Freebirds half-bird for dinner. So yesterday, I spent $6.40. So I have about a dollar to spend in the next 3 days......

Day 4

Ummmmmmmm...yeahhhh....

I spent $3.12 on lunch at McDonalds (you know you're not eating a healthy lunch when the whole meal costs $3.12)..and then I spent $1.96 on a cup of coffee. So my total today was $5.08. My bad... I can spend $8.36 in the next 4 days.

I just did real bad today. I had a large Dr. Pepper from McDonalds, 20 ounces of water, 20 ounces of Pepsi, and 16 ounces of coffee.

Tomorrow I'll do good! You'll see!

Day 2 and 3

Yesterday, I spent $1.00 on a Dr. Pepper at school. I drank 16 ounces of Dr. Pepper, 8 ounces of (free) Diet Coke, and about 44 ounces of water. I went to a step aerobics class for an hour.

Today, I spent $3.40...I had 16 ounces of sweet tea, 16 ounces of water, and 12 ounces of coffee.

My total so far is $6.56. I can't spend more than $13.44 in the next 5 days! I'm totes going to do it. I realize as I'm reading what I've had to drink the last few days, it doesn't sound like I'm doing very good, but I'm actually doing way better than I was!

Day One..

Well, I didn't do too great today. I spent $2.16. I ended up getting a sweet tea from McDonalds, and a Sprite later...but I did EAT at home for breakfast, lunch and dinner! That's a step in the right direction.

I went running/walking tonight too. 3.3 miles total!
